Poems written for Poetry Valley are labeled “Original poem by Poetry Valley”. They may not be republished without permission.

Poems by other poets

We publish poems by other writers only when they are in the public domain in the United States (generally, published in 1930 or earlier) or when we have permission. Each one is labeled with the poet’s name, the title and, where known, the year. For modern poets we share short excerpts, summaries and links to the official source instead of full texts.

Quotes

Quotes are attributed to their author. When an attribution is disputed or unverified, we say so.

If you find an error or believe we have published your work without permission, please contact us and we will review it promptly.
